The El Carmelo Auxiliary

The El Carmelo Auxiliary was formed in the spring of 1991 to provide aid and assistance to the Carmelite friars of El Carmelo Retreat House of Redlands, California.

Active members of the El Carmelo Auxiliary work on a volunteer basis, as needed, performing services such as gift shop, and office support.  In addition, fundraising efforts with 100% of funds collected are given to El Carmelo Retreat House projects, as approved by the El Carmelo Auxiliary.  Some examples of fundraising include the Christmas boutique, benefit dinners and other fundraising events.

Two types of membership are available: 1.  Active Members who agree to provide service, attend meetings and annuals dues of $25 to the Auxiliary. 2. Sustaining Members who donate a minimum of $50 per year to the organization.

The regular business of the organization is conducted at monthly meetings from September through June at  the El Carmelo Retreat House.
